A new article in the prestigious PNAS by Luca Turin and colleagues suggested anesthesia works by altering electron spin in the brain. Stuart Hameroff MD, Professor of Anesthesiology and Psychology, and Director, Center for Consciousness Studies at the University of Arizona was among the authorities asked to comment.
