Dr. Redford Honored as Caregiver of the Month for April 2015

Banner – University Medical Center Tucson and South honors Daniel Redford, MD, as Caregiver of the Month for April. Dr. Redford is an anesthesiologist attending physician at the Banner-UMC Tucson campus. 
 
Dr. Redford earned his degree from the University of Guadalajara, Mexico, he later graduated from the University of Maryland and completed an internship and fellowship in anesthesiology at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. 
 
Dr. Redford joined the staff here in 2001, pursuing academic interests that include pulse oximetry, non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring, hemostatic coagulation system and blood coagulopathies.
 
One colleague said, “Dr. Redford is a wealth of knowledge; he is kind, understanding, and provides legendary service to the patients at Banner – UMC. He is an advocate for the medical staff as well as the nurses.”
 
Another collegue commented, “During first cases, he always comes for the morning huddle and speaks to each patient on a personal and professional level. He makes each one of his patients feel that safety and care are his number one priority. He ensures that his patients understand his subjective process, and are aware of their individualized treatment plan. It is truly an honor to work with such an open minded individual.”
