Dr. Mohammed is currently an Associate Professor within the Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology division. He completed both his anesthesiology residency and cardiothoracic fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital- Columbia University. After completing fellowship he was an Assistant Professor at New York Medical College- Westchester Medical Center within the CT-Anesthesiology division and served as the medical student clerkship director.
Subsequently, he moved to south Florida and worked at the University of Miami as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology (CVT division) and associate director of the Fellowship program.
He is editor in chief of the Cardiac Anesthesia section of StatPearls, has multiple peer reviewed publications and a book chapter in cardiac anesthesiology review.
His research/interest focuses around intraoperative TEE, resident education simulation, and structural repair heart TEE.
