Why did you choose University of Arizona - Anesthesiology?
Firstly, the overall attitude and general laid-back vibes of the west coast combined with the camaraderie amongst the residents was what truly differentiated this program from others. Secondly, in the OR, residents have the opportunity to experience all specialty cases: cardiac, pediatric, neuro, OB, etc. without playing second fiddle to a fellow. Additionally, the university has a large catchment area serving as the Level I trauma center and primary academic medical center for a large area of southern Arizona leading to exposure to a variety of patients and cases. As for Tucson itself, I love the "dry heat" and beautiful fall/winter/spring weather, great Mexican food, and the low-cost of living doesn't hurt either!

Favorite activity in Tucson?
